egg® Shell Infant Car Seat

The egg® Shell (i-Size) Car Seat is R129-approved and designed to offer maximum safety and comfort from birth to approximately 15 months (40–80cm). Meeting the latest i-Size (R129) safety standards, it features an enhanced side-impact protection shell and a memory foam headrest, providing optimum cushioning in the event of a collision. Additional inner-body padding offers vital support for newborns, especially around the side and upper leg muscles, and can be removed as your baby grows – allowing continued use up to 13kg.

A 3-point safety harness with push-button release, easy adjustment, and single-pull securing ensures a snug fit, while matching shoulder and crotch pads provide extra comfort during sudden stops. The four-position retractable canopy, crafted in the same premium fabric as the seat, echoes the iconic egg® curve and offers essential sun protection. Three handle positions include a stabiliser setting to prevent rocking when placed on flat surfaces.

The egg® Shell is compatible with the egg3® stroller range using egg® Multi Car Seat Adaptors, and cleverly uses the car seat’s handle to lock securely into position when in travel system mode.

The egg® Shell can be installed using the egg® ISOFIX Base for a safe and secure fit every time. The base features an extendable leg, along with clear visual indicators to ensure correct installation. The car seat can also be installed using a standard 3-point vehicle seatbelt (ECE R44/04).
